We are lucky to have four Forest School leaders at Hollycombe and a large number of parent helpers which enables us to take out each class for ten weeks during the school year to local woodland just a short walk from school. Â Each year group also takes part in bushcraft sessions in the garden.Â
Forest School gives children the opportunity to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem.  It encourages children to be resilient, confident, independent and creative learners by allowing them to take part in activities of their choosing appropriate to their abilities and the environment.  This is what some of them have said …
