Unlike many other small rural schools, Hollycombe is not affiliated to any church.

Our founder Sir John Hawkshaw was a wealthy Victorian engineer who lived at Holycombe House (hence our school name), and had no need of the church's patronage or money!

We welcome children and families of all faiths and none.

Our children learn about a wide variety of faiths, beliefs, customs, festivals and celebrations., with an emphasis on thinking and deciding for themselves, and respecting others' choices.
